Our leading capacity building project is ARTitude: a youth arts festival programming events and activities for young people of all abilities. Linking Generations in Northern Ireland is an initiative managed by the Beth Johnson Foundation. They are currently compiling a register of visual artists, creative writers, musicians, dancers and theatre practitioners who would be suitable for facilitating intergenerational workshops. There may also be the opportunity of free further training in intergenerational practice.
They are especially looking for individuals who have the experience, skills, and sensitivity to work with people who have special physical and mental needs. Call for Artists to develop and deliver an Arts-based Languages Project (Irish, English and Ulster-Scots) for Derry City Council’s Good Relations Programme – ‘Use creative approaches to explore linguistic and cultural identity in order to develop mutual understanding and appreciation of Irish and Ulster-Scots’
Brief for Applicants: Derry City Council is currently seeking artists, artist teams, or arts rganisations to work alongside the Council’s Arts and Regeneration Officer and the Irish Language Officer to develop and deliver a good relations project to explore the role of the languages of Irish, English and Ulster-Scots within the context of cultural identity.
The Project: The successful applicant or applicant organisation will develop and deliver a project to directly engage with adults from a range of backgrounds using a range of creative approaches to explore language and how it shapes cultural identity. The artist or arts organisation will work with project participants to oversee the development of a series of artworks in response to the question posed: How do the languages of Irish, English and Ulster-Scots inform our sense of cultural identity?
The completed artworks will form the basis of an exhibition and will be ultimately be used as a stimulus for education, discussion and further debate on the subject area. This project will explore the role that the languages of Irish, English and Ulster-Scots play in people’s lives and will document the historical and contemporary relationships between the languages of Irish, English and Ulster-Scots. The project should generate opportunities for creative responses to the languages of Irish, English and Ulster-Scots and the interactions between them culminating in the creation of a minimum of 12 different artworks for exhibition.
Key Dates: This project must be completed and all vouching documentation returned before February 2011.

Centre for Creative Practices - established in 2009, is a new gallery and event venue in the heart of Dublin city. A multicultural and multidisciplinary approach is what we stand for. Our events include exhibitions, concerts, artistic workshops, screenings, readings, jazz jam sessions, performances and many other types of creative activities. We specialise in new and experimental arts as well as intercultural artistic cooperation.
Description:
To prepare our busy programme of events and to promote our unique venue we are looking for a full-time or part-time administrative intern to provide hands-on experience of arts administration, programme development and promotion, events organisation and dealing with our various groups of audiences and artists.
The internship is unpaid, though our interns will have free access to all our events in the Centre and to our artistic courses.
Duties include (but are not limited to): - Monthly programme preparation - Events promotion – advertising online and in the printed media - Exhibitions, events and workshop preparations - Creating and maintaining databases - Data entry - Venue rental administration - General office administration
The internship is full-time (5 days a week) or part-time (2-3 days a week, between Mon-Fri) minimum 3 months, longer welcome. Some flexibility with respect to hours will be requested at gig-times.

Antrim Borough Council BEAT Programme: Call for Artists - posted 26.7.2010 deadline: asap
BEAT PROGRAMME : Antrim Borough Council are delivering a summer intervention programme in 8 areas across the Borough over the summer. The Be Educated, Be Active, Be Together (BEAT) programme is running from 5 – 9pm (hourly sessions) targeting the older, more difficult to reach 11+ age group.
There is a facilitator who overviews the programme, and additional tutors are invited in to deliver on specialist topics for some sessions.
A typical programme runs from Mon-Thursday and ranges from sporting activities, to issues awareness (fire safety / environment / alcohol) to arts activities, for example.
They are interested in getting on board an art tutor who can do one hour sessions – one in each venue until the end of the summer. The times are quite flexible and they would be able to work to suit the tutor in most instances.

South Dublin County Council’s Arts Office is seeking a researcher / facilitator to work with the members of the Cultural Quarter Forum to assist them in defining their vision, aims and objectives as a group.
In responding to the brief, prospective tenders should have:
· an in-depth understanding and experience of working in the arts and cultural sector
· experience of delivering facilitation for arts and cultural groups
Interested parties should submit a proposal on how they would approach research and facilitation for the group, including methods used and details of their fee. The tender should also demonstrate the breadth and level of experience of the researcher / facilitator. The period for this work will be September / October 2010.

Re-Imaging Woodstock / Willowfield: Tender - posted 23.7.2010 area: Belfast deadline: 12pm, Friday 13th August 2010
The community in Carlingford Street and surrounding community just off the Woodstock Road in East Belfast wish to remove Loyalist Band wall mural from the end terrace on the junction of Carlingford Street and Ardenvohr Street and develop an art feature as part of their ongoing efforts to regenerate and re-image the area.
Initial discussions with Cosy Historical & Cultural Society, Band and local community representatives have highlighted the following:
It is envisaged that the art feature will focus on local history & culture. It is envisaged that detailed design of the artwork will follow a successful application, and would involve a series of design workshops with a cross section of local groups.
Duration & salary/fee An artist will be selected during mid August and should be available to commence and complete the workshops by mid September and install the artwork pieces by the end of September / early October 2010.
It is envisaged that submitted tenders over £9,500 (inclusive of VAT) will not be successful.
