Voluntary Arts Scotland

Voluntary Arts Scotland promotes participation in the arts and crafts by supporting the development of the voluntary arts sector. We offer help and support to organisations, groups and individuals engaged in the voluntary arts through the following:

  • Drawing together voluntary arts and crafts groups and their representative bodies
  • Providing them with information, advice and training
  • Ensuring their interests are represented to policy makers, funders and politicians
  • Improving the environment for everyone participating in the arts and crafts

Voluntary Arts Scotland celebrates the contribution of participatory arts to the well-being of communities, social inclusion, lifelong learning, active citizenship and volunteering. We are an initiative of the Voluntary Arts Network (VAN) which links us to similar bodies in England, Northern Ireland/Eire and Wales.

We have an elected committee to guide the development of the voluntary arts and crafts sector in Scotland. To find out more about the people who are currently members of the committee go to the Committee link in the left hand menu on this page.
